Chumba USA, Astral Cycling and Bikeflights have teamed up with a group of like-minded friends to give away an all-new one-of-a-kind USA-built adventure-machine. All proceeds go directly to support Bikepacking Roots’ BIPOC Bike Adventure Grant.

The newly released Chumba Slackr steel frame will feature Astral Serpentine wheels, Cane Creek Helm fork, and components from other Bikepacking Roots sponsors White Industries, Shimano, Dispersed Bikepacking and Paul Components.

By donating now, you can help support inclusion in the bikepacking and cycling community AND earn a chance to win this amazing bike, racks and bags, or new apparel! The complete custom bike build has an approximate retail value of over $8,000 and includes the following:

Custom Build Spotlight: SLACKR Titanium SingleSpeed

When we launched the SLACKR Titanium mountain bike, our buddy Conrad crafted a new plan. Pull the Rockshox Pike off his Sendero and step it up from 130mm to 140mm. He turned his Sendero Ti into a full on XC race machine with a SID 120 and a sub 1500g wheelset. Meanwhile, those trail parts landed on this SLACKR Titanium. Utilizing the Pike 140mm and an I-9 Enduro Carbon wheelset, the end result is a very light 26lbs trail hardtail!

Have you built your Sendero on the burly side? Well, it’s a pretty rad idea to move your trail-focused components over to a SLACKR and then lighten up the kit on the Sendero. If interested, we can help you plan it out on both bikes!

Conrad requested a color fade anodizing for his downtube graphic! Violet to Blue, with a matched Violet iRix headset from Industry Nine.

A simple Raceface Turbine crankset keeps cost in check, but is light and stiff.

Decals begone! This Rockshox Pike is now under the radar, but one sweet option in a lighter 140mm package.

ENVE M6 handlebar, Syntace Stem, and a Magura MT7 brakeset all combine for a very light but trail capable cockpit.
