Today we take a look over Andrew and Katie Strempke’s Tour Divide bikes.
Andrew will be riding a Sendero Titanium singlespeed 29er set up w/ a rigid carbon fork.
Of note are some excellent component choices we love to recommend:
Cane Creek Hellbender 110 Series BB w/ eeWing Titanium MTB crankset.
Full custom Dispersed Bikepacking Bag set (the Stempke’s own bag company)
XT 8120 4 Piston Hydraulic Brakeset
Carbon wheels w/a Schmidt Dynamo SON 28 110x15 Paired to front and rear dynamo lights and Sinewave USB charger
Aerobars for those dueling headwinds
Vittoria Mezcal tubeless tires
Katie Strempke's Sendero Steel Singlespeed is running a fresh Fox Factory 34 Standard FIT4 Standard suspension fork for a smoother ride. On these long events it's all about making the right sacrifices. Going minimal and saving weight with her bikepacking kit leaves room for adding some weight back in with the fork to get some comfort over the near 3k miles ahead!
Katie’s Dispersed Bikepacking bagset maximizes storage on her size small frame while keeping all the weight really central on the bike. In the bar bag is a lightweight sleep system. Similar kit choices on wheels, lighting/charging and aerobars.
Safe travels to Andrew and Katie on this years 2022 Tour Divide Grand Depart! Be sure to follow our story posts once the event starts for updates on their progress!
