Alexandera Houchin reflects on 3 things she could have done better on her AZT 800 run this year. Being prepared is the name of the game in bikepacking, and this year Alexandera was a slow to double check (okay, totally didn’t check at all) some things on her bike before she left. Errors aside, Alexandera was a full three days faster than her 2021 record, earning her the current Women's Singlespeed Record at 12 days, 16 hours, and 38 minutes (12d:16h:38m)
Alexandera also just wrote a beautiful piece for the Town Bicycle here on incorporating ceremony into bike racing and she was also awarded Best Film 2022 from Bikepacking.com for her film: Identity and Endurance with Alexandera Houchin // Stronger Together
