What is Titanium Anodizing?
Titanium Anodizing is a finish effect we can perform on our bikes to showcase the graphics in various colors and styles. Anodizing on titanium happens when electricity oxides graphics or zones of brushed titanium. Fun fact, all titanium has a clear oxide layer that builds up on it over time, it’s perfectly safe for the frame and inert. Adding thicker micro-layers of oxidation blocks certain colors of light from refracting back off the frame, creating the color effect!
What anodized colors are possible on my Chumba?
We can produce finishes with individual colors or any combination of the following options:
Bronze (matching Kashima coat)
Violet (great match to I-9 or Chris King)
Blue (great match to I-9 or Chris King)
Medium Blue (a close match to I-9 and Chris King teals)
Ice Blue
What styles can we create?
The finish effects can be Solid color tone, Ti-dye Soft blend, Ti-Dye Crisp edge, or Acid Drop.
What is Cerakote?
Cerakote is a thin ceramic paint that has a beautiful finish quality and is perfect for titanium bikes. High durability, is easy to clean, and has tons of color options. We can work with any color in the H or E series colors. Some colors we have seen better finish quality than others, so let us know your ideas and we’ll collaborate to get you the best finish. We can combine Cerakote with anodizing for a unique effect, paint and leave titanium brushed graphics exposed, or even paint with multiple Cerakote colors.
